AddCity was written to allow me to add Calgary, my home town, which isn't in the Time Zone app. It is my third little app that I have written on the Newton MessagePad, which has to be the handiest computer I have ever used! And the coolest!!
AddCity is freeware, feel free to give it to whoever you want. I’d love to get a postcard from your city if you feel so inclined!
Coming soon (hopefully very soon), the “standard” stuff you would expect from a Newton application..
:-).
Thank You's
-----------
Thanks to David Dunham and Scott Shwarts for the conversion code from the encoded value to the latitude/longitude value.
Thanks to the Newton guys and gals for bringing back the “magic”. If you don’t understand then read Dave Johnson’s column in develop #16.

Release Notes:
--------------
1.0: December 19, 1993: First official release.
1.0fc2: Fixed a conversion bug that didn’t move the 60 seconds to the degrees value. Added updating of the visual display after setting the value. Added checking for the areaCode slot in userConfiguration.location (if you set your city to a non-US/Canada place, the location frame has no areaCode slot).
1.0fc1: Release to the MacLore folks to give it a testing for me. Extensive error checking included.
